Umnugobi aimag – Leader in the planted tree forest in the country
Umnugobi aimag had first introduced the policy to grant reward to citizens, entities and organizations planted trees. As a result of the policy total of 364.000 trees were planted in the recent years. The initiative of the President of Mongolia to plant 1 million trees was fully supported by the leadership of the aimag. The aimag leadership signed a contract with neighboring Inner Mongolian provinces and imported 1000 seedlings of decoration trees to increase green area. Organizers of the campaign had also planted 6515 3 year old trees in Dalanzadgad and airport area. Another 6512 trees were planted along the 9.6 km road UB-Mandalgobi. 10 ton capacity water container vehicle was purchased by the aimag to water newly planted trees.
Improvement of State service environment
27 bag office buildings were constructed in recent years with local investment funding commissioning 18 facilities.
4 bag offices were repaired and refurbished, 58 bags were supplied with required equipment and tools with total investment of MNT242.5 m, including MNT144.1 m of local investment.
As a result of these enormous work, all public servants are equipped with computers and necessary facilities which allows to provide public service in a clean, comfortable environment.
High quality medical treatment in Umnugobi
Governor D.Badraa and relevant authorities handed the required medical equipment and supplies to the health centers and soum hospitals. The action was included in the aimag development goal for 2013-2016 and Governor Activity program. Highly important equipment such surgery sets automatic injection equipment, gynecology tools, fetus monitors, dental equipment and supplies and more. In addition to supply of equipment and tools, the local doctors and medical staff had received trainings in their fields. Medical staff attended the professional trainings in Germany, Japan, South Korea, Thailand and China. All these measures taken in the health sector resolves the issue faced to the aimag allowing Umnugovi citizens to be diagnosed and receive appropriate treatment in their local communities. Statistical data showed that number of patients going to Ulaanbaatar for medical checks and treatment had declined by 43.1% comparing to 2012.
